Samsung ripped Note 20 buyers off in 2020...

I don't follow the Samsung devices much anymore, but in regard to the RAM, does anyone know if there was a speed or type change? If the RAM was increased from 2133 MHz to 2900 that is a performance increase even though it may be a lower total amount. Or going from DDR4 to 5? I doubt the latter as I don't think there is DDR5 outside of GPUs.

As for the camera....there is a lot more to a digital camera than MP. The light sensor for one.

There are lots of spec websites out there and most are incorrect. I believe the RAM is LPDDR5 and storage UFS 3.1
The camera needs practice but I am getting some great shots with it just now, it needs the user to understand a little more, not just point and shoot in my opinion.

I agree!

I should of put the title as Qualcomm ripped us off. The SD w 8655G was a bad value. Unlike 2019 top Samsung phones we didn't have the option to pay extra for the 5G. It was forced on us.

No one ripped anyone off and 2019 is not 2020. More flagship devices will be coming with 5G and 5G by itself doesn't add that much to the price and it wasn't forced on anyone.

5G probably added $300 on snapdragon 865 phones because of a 2nd chip for 5G. Most people will not get any additional benefit over 4G. In 2020 most people had no complaints about 4G.

That makes me wonder actually what happens if there wasn't a 2nd chip how much weight would it save? The Note 10+ was light in comparison.

The 5G is too damn high https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/04/29/the-5g-is-too-damn-high/

yeah that packing film they put on it isn't a real screen protector . Ordered a Zagg for 25 bucks. got a pretty nice case with kickstand for around 18 bucks.
I haven't upgraded since 2014 so this seem amazingly fast . So many features. The old S5 was getting really slow .

That's one nice benefit of going longer between phones, you really notice the difference with the newer technology ;-)

Note 20 was a downgrade from the s20 ultra.
The Note 20 perhaps but not the Note 20 Ultra. At least not in my IMO. I'm using my Note 20 standard this week and I don't miss anything from my N20U. The extra 4GB does not make a difference for me and the Note 20's camera does a great job for me. Plus the Note 20's size is very nice...for me.
