Do you agree or disagree with this? It's not completely baseless, I know many Asian countries don't have gender equality the way it is in North America.

Samsung?s Biggest Weakness: It is a Sexist Company | The Gadget Masters
Every company has several weakness. Some of these are much bigger than others. For example, after 6 iterations of the iPhone, it is clear that Apple does not have a single employee who knows much about Wi-Fi technology. Most people would say that Apple?s closed-ecosystem is its biggest weakness. I would argue that Apple?s biggest weakness has been labour conditions at Foxconn, since there is nothing that can damage a brand faster than iPhone assemblers being maimed and killed while making iPhones. However, Tim Cook has worked hard to remedy this issue.

Samsung Portrays Women as Simple, Shallow and Unsophisticated

In the past two weeks, Samsung?s Galaxy S4 launch event in NYC and its Samsung Forum in South Africa were both widely criticized as being blatantly sexist. Clearly, a trend is emerging from Samsung. The common factor at both of these events is that women were portrayed as being simple, shallow and unsophisticated.

Samsung Risks Losing 3 Billion Potential Customers

While sexist stereotypes may be acceptable in South Korea, this is not the way women are portrayed in North America. Women are just as capable and intelligent as men, if not more so. Thus, they are portrayed as such in North America.

For example, the following is a new trailer from Despicable Me 2, which was just released this week. The female character, Lucy, is portrayed as being just as capable and intelligent as Gru, the male protagonist. In fact, she outsmarts and overpowers him in the movie. Needless to say, Samsung still has much to learn about North American culture...

Just because there isn't as many women hired doesn't mean they are sexist. Its probably harder for a woman in that country to get an education.

Every commercial/sitcom on TV in the us nowadays portrays men as dumb, shallow, and hen pecked. Where is the outcry there? Why doesn't the author that wrote this article address that?

Its really no better when you have to hire people based on gender over qualifications anyway. IMHO
