Samsung S2 plugin isn't supported on my S9 Plus

I have a Samsung S2 watch and I allowed the wearable app to update and now it's saying the plugin isn't supported on my S9 Plus

might need to uninstall then reinstall the wearable app

If that doesn't work, you could uninstall, download and sideload and earlier version of the Gear Wearable app and the Gear Plugin app.

No need to sideload it, it's an apk. Just copy it to the phone, find it in your file manager, tap it and it will install. (Sideloading - aside from things like security updates - went out with the addition of the ability to install "unknown apps". A long time ago.)

Ok. I have been under the impression that the term 'sideload' meant that the apk came to the phone, from source other than directly from the Play Store or Galaxy Store, in the case of Samsung phones.
