Samsung S20 TMobile version or UNLOCKED version? Pros and Cons...

wouldn't it be nice if we had a similar version of what camping folks do:

have one person being the guy who is watching for dangerous animals, etc.

everyone else relaxes, sleeps. then another person gets up and that person who did the watching goes to bed.

well...who's going to do the watching on samsung.com and tell us when pre-order has BEGUN EARLIER THAN PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED?

hahahahahahhaha

Realistically, how much earlier are we looking at? Hour or hours?

iirc, for the tmobile one, or i might be confusing it with another pre-order of another gadget...ahem...

i think i was able to log in and buy it at around 9:30pm or 10pm, so that's roughly 3 hours prior to the stated "start" time.

but, i must say, it was for a piece of electronics of some sort, but i don't recall if it was for my TMobile pre-order or for another product.

they all seem similar after a while...blush.

if one were to order at TMobile, JOD won't work on T-mobile.com

i've struggled with it for quite a few years.

they'd say something like: please call customer care.

huh?

for whatever reason, they FORCE you to call in.

the issue about calling in is this: you're highly dependent on the training that representative has received. if you get an experienced one, great. smooth sailing. if you get a newbie, good luck. they wouldn't even know how to handle a JOD upgrade, which this is technically considered as you're merely upgrading.

for once, i doubt that i'd be doing this this year, aka tonight.

reason: tmobile still hasn't announced pricing for their JOD "well qualified customers" even at this late hour. what in the world are they thinking? i'm betting that their pricing is going to be so awful that they don't want negative press early on, and they want to delay the negative press for as long as they possibly can, which is ONLY announcing the JOD pricing for "well qualified customers" right when pre-ordering begins at 12:01am tonight. weird. or rather, devious.

well, at almost 10pm, samsung.com still doesn't have pre-order available yet.

it seems more and more likely that 12:01am is really the time they'll open up the pre-orders! '

bummer. they could have opened it up a few hours earlier for us enthusiasts! ;)

"Just got the following from Tforce, which indicates no discount for super well qualified. Let's hope they told me inaccurate information (they tend to do this from time to time).

Appreciate you reaching out, and I'm happy to get some pricing info to you! :) Super well qualified users would see the following on JUMP! on Demand: S20 128GB: retails at $999.99, with a purchase option price of $210. Down payment of $249.99 + sales tax (on the down payment), with monthly payments of $30 + tax for 18 months. S20+ 128GB: retails at $1,199.99 with a purchase option price of $246. Down payment of $449.99 + sales tax (on down payment), leaving monthly payments of $28 + tax for 18 months. S20 Ultra 128GB: retails at $1,399.99 with a purchase option price of $282. Down payment of $649.99 + sales tax (on down payment), with monthly payments of $24 + tax for 18 months.

This kills JOD if true. If you JOD to S20 Ultra and wait 1 year to upgrade, you just paid $938 for that privilege, and have no phone to show for it. Yikes."

Just saw it on Reddit.

they are missing the pricing for the S20 Ultra 512gb!
