Samsung S3 Phone doesnot turn on using my battery,but it does turn on using others battery

My samsung s3 phone does not turn on using my battery,it turns on if i use my friend's s3 battery.Unable to charge, as the samsung guy says the charger port isnt working.Is it a problem with the battery or charger port?Unable to decide... Kindly help if someone faced the same issue

Try another charger and if it doesn't work the problem is the battery
