Ok, so My moms s3 will not turn on. We suspect its an update from the phone. The battery symbol at the top used to be green but turned white and a few days later, it would not turn on. We have rebooted it many times. The phone would turn on but off again within minutes. Anyone else with this problem? Or who can solve it?

Welcome to Android Central! So are you saying that the phone will turn on initially, but then shut off before reaching the homescreen?
The battery might be failing. Can you try a new one? A quick way of testing your battery is to remove it, place it flat on a table, and try to spin it. If it spins freely, it's bulging in the middle, which is a bad sign. But even if it doesn't spin, it's worth trying a new battery.
