Hey guys,
Last month I was travelling around Mexico with friends. I had my S5 with me and I was using it to take photos and videos of our adventures.
At one point during my travels I dropped my S5 and I cracked the screen, not very badly but it had two clear cracks along the screen but was still fully functional. A couple of days later I was taking photos in the sea and my phone was submerged for a short period of time (stupid I know).
I thought nothing of it and carried on with the day. Later I noticed that my screen was not coming on when I was clicking the power button/home button. So I took my battery out and put it back in, the device booted and stayed on for a few minutes before shutting off again. At this point I remembered about taking the device into the sea and I immediately took it apart and put the phone in a bag of rice.
Two days later I removed the phone and proceeded to turn the phone on, it successfully booted but the screen was now all green and practically unusable.
My question to you all, is the entire screen and LCD etc damaged? Will I need to replace all elements of the screen to return it to full working order?
Thanks.
