Samsung s6 does not find Wifi in cuba

[AC Question]

My samsung galaxy s6 found wifi without problems in Europe where i bought it from. In Cuba the devise does not find any wifi networks. Can I fix this somehow? I found an answer somewhere to switch from 5ghz to 2.4 ghz in my device. Does this work and if so how do i do this?

Yes there is Wi-Fi around. iPhone 6 connects without problems

Bought this phone for my wife and she can't connect to wifi in cuba meanwhile i can with my Iphone 6
please help. Even the network doesn't show up.

Have the same problem. Some guy said we have to download an app but did not specify.
I know somebody knows something.

I was told the same thing about the app but cant find anyone who knows anything about this .. its so frustrating.. I think I will use my IPhone as a hotspot next time and connect that way .. hopefully that will work ..
