When I try to use the combination of volume down + home + power key to enter download mode it fails. As long as I push the keys down, nothing will happen and as soon as I release them my phone will restart and then go to "installing system update" and after a while it also fails with "no comment" error. The whole process start again. I can't turn off the phone. As long as there is battery it will go through this loop. Naturally there is no access to other modes like safe mode or recovery mode and there is no way to enter the android OS.

"When I tick BL in Odin it will pass, when I tick BL and AP it gives me write operation failed error. When I remove AP but tick CP it gives me "can't open the serial com port" error."
So you don't know the common reasons behind these errors?
You need to flash all 4 files not one at a time
Can't open serial com , make sure try another USB slot or cable (good quality cable I can't stress enough on that must be used )

You have error in Odin for com
Possiblity.

Cable
USB port
Computer used
Not in download mode

Look over those 4 or it will never let you flash successfully, Im going by what your explaining to me . If you like post some screenshots

I did the same way you mentioned but right now I encounter write operation error and I don't know why.
This is very vague. You need to either provide a picture or screenshot of the Odin log, or show us any error message in red that appeared on the device itself

To make it worse a new error appeared on my phone screen which should be solved first before I can try Odin again. It says
"An error has encountered while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software."
I installed Smart Switch on my laptop but it can't recognise the phone.
It says "device needs time to initialise if it has been restarted." But there is no initialisation when there is no booting or anything. It just stuck on this error as soon as I connect the phone to power or to the laptop and it doesn't go any further.
This screen works the same as Download mode. Odin will detect it while in this mode and you can flash firmware, just like regular Download mode.

Also, after a failed flash, you need to reboot it back to Download mode in order to try again - you cannot just simply click Start in Odin again. That's probably the reason for the "can't open the COM port" error

Exactly

Thank you. I didn't know Odin can detect it even though I'm not on download mode. Now I regained my access to download mode by using "BL" in Odin.

Here is my Odin log.
Do I need to give writing permission in some way?

Then I don't have any suggestions other than trying to flash a different firmware

Also when I use FriJa it always gives me the same file to download as long as I choose the same model. CSC and manual settings need details which I can't have access when phone is off. I chose CSC according to country but the rest is blank.
