Samsung S8 Calendar: Can't Read Appointments for Half Hour Meetings

When I open the day view for my S8 calendar all of my half hour meetings just show up as a solid block with no text. So I can't read the appointment without using two fingers to widen the display. Considering the height of the S8 screen, this is pretty ridiculous. Is the a fix for this that anyone knows? Thanks!

In the month view press on a day... It brings up a card of the day's events... That may display better information? That's how I tend to use it but have not scheduled any half hour appointments...

I too am having the same issue. The only work around I can find so far is use monthly or weekly views to see all planned/scheduled appointments.
