I have a samsung galxy S8 that appears to be unable to make wifi calls - I mean wifi calls though my mobile provider. I was wondering if i could get hold of any better firmware that will make wifi calling work. I have wifi calling enabled on both my phone and with my mobile provider but it doesn't work. my provider says the phone is too old. rather than shell out for a newer phone is there any third party firmware that might get me around this problem?
my phone says:
model: SM-G950F and I've also attached a screenshot showing current software information. thanks for any advice

That's carrier dependent , your on good WiFi?
You were able to set-up everything through set-up page?

this is what I've been told by my mobile provider, and also found further info on communities that indicates what they say is correct

I doubt its a firmware issue, that you can tell after a factory reset or flashing the stock firmware again

it is/was a firmware issue. I've no flashed the phone with new firmware and wifi calling is no working

What I'm saying is if you think it's a firmware issue 2 things you can try flash stock firmware or factory reset .
