This is annoying unless I am being really thick. The Google Music Player wont let me add any existing music or even search offline unless i click on subscribe...is this right?

I have to subscribe to the app before I can add music to the library? I don't want to subscribe, I just want to play the 3,000 music tracks I have on my fone but cant bloody access. I have looked on Google and it says to select a folder to add...but unless I actually pay...if I click NO THANKS...everything stops.

Is this right guys or have I missed something?:-

Looks like I will have to shell out a massive 99p to buy a music player that doesnt want to charge me £9 a month to play my own music.

Welcome as a new member!

The Google Play Music app works perfectly fine without a subscription, including streaming your library from the cloud. Would you be able to post some screenshots of what you're experiencing?

Hmm no matter what I do there is no option to select a specific folder to download to, or highlight my music folder as the one I want to use.

Its the same when I connect the phone to Android Auto, Google Play only plays the "one" song I bought from the app. There's no way to access the rest of my music

Well bugger!! I reinstalled the App so I could take a couple of screenshots and when I opened it the entire library was there :-[

Thanks for your offer to help guys...incidentally I plugged it into Android Auto and it still only sees the one song:'(
