Hi all, I have been having WiFi issues at home with SKY internet.

The issue is specifically related to my home WiFi as I can connect to every other network anywhere fine. Other devices at home can connect easily and it is fine.

I have set up a static IP also on my phone and it connects to the WiFi however, no data seems to come through, no apps work etc.

Is this a phone issue? I had adjusted all possible router settings aswell but it seems to be a device issue since all other devices can connect easily.

Please let me know if you need any more information. This is driving me mad

Thanks.

Is the static IP outside the range of the router's DHCP addresses? Most routers won't accept a static IP connection in their DJHCP range. It could also be the encryption the router is using. A lot of phones are having a problem wiith TKIP, so use AES.

Hey so, I have a Coolpad Quattro 4g Lite. My problem is, when I connect to my WiFi (or anyone else's) the WiFi is working but only a little bit. After a while, it still shows my wifi bar on the top right corner of the screen and says I am connected to whatever WiFi I am on but when I go on all my apps they say I am not connected. I try to get rid of this by turning the WiFI off for a minte then back on and it works,... But only for a little then goes back to before. I have tried resetting phone, factory reset, high factory reset, none of those works. Please help me because I just wanna use this phone already :/

Please refer to one of the other threads you started about this issue: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...-connected-wifi-but-internet-not-working.html

How di I find out the range? AES worked for a few mins and Im getting intermittent use.

Welcome to Android Central! You'd need to log into the router settings using your computer browser to look at the DHCP range. What is the exact brand and model of the router? Is it a proprietary one provided by your internet provider? You can usually find the manual for the router online, which should tell you how to access the router settings.
