Samsung SM-P585Y Battery(?) Issue

[Android Central Question]

So i had this device for almost 5 years, but it died in 2019. I tried to charge the device, it turned on and showed the battery icon but it doesnt show the percentage. Then few seconds after that the screen flickers, and i unplugged the charger and the screen died immediately

Few days ago i tried to charged the device and it did show up the percentage although the charging process its quite slow. It last for few days until today it died completely, but this time when i recharged it, the screen didnt even appear but when i press and hold the power button it vibrates. What should i do? Or is there any issues?

A 5 year-old device isn't worth trying to resurrect, IMO.

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the battery has failed, which is not surprising for a device this old. The cost of replacing the battery is unlikely to be worth the actual value of the tablet, and could actually cost more than buying a new tablet that's comparable.
