Droid-life brought this up and I thought it was very interesting. If VZW is discontinuing the fascinate that points to a release for the next phone in that line sooner rather then later. Then clues just keep piling up so I'm hoping we are getting very close to some official news.

fascinate had the worst support ever. froyo update was slow as hell and i blame vzw for this bc the original version of the galaxy s had early updates. AND the phone was binged out along with bloatware. carriers suck! /end rant

Yeah they have done a mind blowing job of keeping this dam leak proof for a very long time. Looks like the Bionic comes out on that date also. I'm not so sure now if I am going to get it though. Before the Vigor kinda seemed like pie in the sky, but the road map puts its release date at Oct. 5th. I wonder if its worth waiting that extra month.

Ha, no I actually stopped going to the Bionic threads once I decided that I wanted the S2 over it.

It's cool though, I was excited about the potential of news, but I feel like we are bound to get some info soon since it is expected to launch within the next few weeks. Saw the Stratosphere release date, if it is the GSII then I was hoping it would come out a bit sooner, but just over a month away isn't too bad.

I'm thinking that while I would like the Prime, I don't believe it is going to come out in October and I know I will love the S2 so probably just going to get that one.

I think the limb you already went out on will come to pass CK. This device has been staring you guys in the face for months, under the mythical name we know as the Function. I'll go out on the same limb and say the Stratosphere is the non-slider, LTE equipped GSII variant for VZW.

If I end up being wrong I'll post a picture of myself eating my shoe.

Agree. I was pretty much already sold on it but nothing beats really experiencing it.

I agree it looked nice on the sgs2 and would think it would be dumb for samsung to release it without the latest version of their own software, but then again stranger things have happened lol. I just think it will be interesting to see what the stratosphere does end up turning out to be and what the specs look like.
