samsung tab 2 wont register google account

i bought a samsung tab 2 on ebay and i cant use any google apps it asks me to enter my google account email and password once done it then says account disabled. i can still access google on my other devices.how can i get google working, is this device stolen or something and is there anyway to find out?

Welcome to Android Central! Is it a Galaxy Tab 2, or Tab S2? They're not the same.

If you bought it used, it's probably asking for the Google username and password of the previous owner. This is Google's Factory Reset Protection. In order to do a proper reset, the previous Google account needs to be removed from the Settings>Accounts menu before the factory reset.

Contact the seller and see if they will help you with this. If not, ask to return the device for a refund. If they refuse, contact eBay to help settle the dispute. It should be up to the seller to make sure the device was properly prepared for sale.
