Samsung tablet wont charge while on?

okay so i have a samsung tab 2 10.1 i dont know how old it is as i got given it already used.But today i went to charge my tablet and it worked fine it was plugged into the wall a little while later i then realised it wasnt charging i played around with it and it wouldnt charge i restarted it and all that stuff then i pluged it into my pc and it came up with a red x on the charging icon this has happned before so i tried everything i knew like put the charger in slowley push all the buttons and reboot it but it didnt work and im really peed off do you know whats wrong with it?
by the way right now i have it off charging on my pc but its really slow also it still wont charge in the wall where it always charges

Could be a bad charger or a bad battery. You have a symptom (phone won't charge) - to fix it you have to diagnose the cause, or pay someone (a repair shop) to.
