I'm planning on putting a TecTile in my car dock (whichever one I end up getting) to turn on bluetooth, gps, and go into car mode.
Hopefully when I remove the phone from the car dock that will automatically turn all those functions off.

This. And exactly the same when I put it into the holster/case and remove it.

THAT, to me, would be the huge advantage of these over tasker. Helping the phone to auto-magically KNOW where it is, and based on that knowledge, do something automatically that COULD be done with tasker, except the phone would have no clue WHEN to do it.

Edit: There is also a NFC app that will let you re-use tags that you might find on something you purchase. Instead of relying on being able to program the tag, it reads the tags serial number then uses an internal database to assign actions to that tag.
