Samsung Throttling Apps

Where do you find package disabler pro? I couldn't find it in the app store

It isn't available in Play anymore. To get a working copy now you have to go to the package disabler website.

If I didn't have a working copy of PDP, I'd go with Alliance Shield.

Yep they definitely don't get along. Everything worked after I cut off Adguard DNS, but the AdBlock on Alliance didn't block ads in my apps. Lol

Can't you just turn off the adblock (and probably the firewall) in Alliance? Use it for disabling and use Adguard for DNS and ad blocking?

Re: Sammy Fraud?

Agreed....not fraud

The intentional use of deceit, a trick or some dishonest means to deprive another of his/her/its money, property or a legal right.

That's the legal definition of Fraud.

Did they throttle on purpose? (Appears they did.)

Does it affect a person's legal right to use an application? (To use it. No. To use it as designed, possibly.)

But waiting for some attorneys to jump on the class action suit that will make nothing for the user, but allow them (the attorneys) to purchase some new high end cars and homes.

But it sure would not affect me.

Regardless of nomenclature, at this point, based on available information, Geekbench concluded that Samsung was intentionally deceptive, so de-listed these devices. I don't care if it is called "fraud" or a "deceptive trade practice," in my book it's simply slimy. And now that they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar, Samsung is going to "add" an option (that they say was already there but wasn't?) to allow users to toggle control. Still sounds like PR spin.

To your point...it was already there on my device and I recall getting a prompt during or after setup to enable or disable it.

I still want to know how they can add an option to enable or disable performance that I already have.

Samsung doesn't like when someone asks too many questions

We see when they bring the update what all the fuss is about.

So PocketNews reported in latest video…

Sammy may offer the ability to disable GOS… but if you opt do use the feature, Sammy may not warranty devices that fail due to overheating??!!

is overheating that big a problem that was it was necessary to have GOS??

Googling a little on this…

https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-gos-faq-3130847/

“the company also sought to address concerns that it wouldn’t offer free repairs due to overheating when people used the upcoming performance priority option. It noted that free service would still be offered if the phone was within its warranty period.”

Denying a warranty claim would never fly based on changing a setting.
