Samsung to Disable Note 7 Functionality Soon

Can't change your imei, but you can disable software updates. I've done so. Use an app like package disabler pro to disable all the update services. Don't need them updating my phone until I send it back in.
I'm sure if they wanted to force an update, disabling updates wouldn't do a damn thing. Lol

Then why did they force the developers to update their apps to where we couldn't disable updates anymore? Now they can still block imei, but the update service is disabled.

Seeing as I actually implemented the same MDM system that Samsung uses at least for a good number of their devices, no, there is no way that they can force an update if the receiving client is disabled. The only question is, is the receiving client really disabled. Judging by Samsung's move to force the two apps to disallow deactivating some packages, I'd say we are on the right track.

Edit: Just wanted to add one point to this. If you factory reset the device, expect any mandatory OTA to come down immediately. You won't be able to stop this. So, in addition to disabling OTA updates while the device is running, you'll have to make sure you don't have a network connection after any factory reset or the OTA will come down, whether anyone likes it or not.

Google is your friend that's where I found it .

I've searched for hours and can't find one link that works. Either the websites have ridiculous spam that i can't navigate past or the files i download are not able to be opened on my 7. Any private messages including a reliable link would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Just use the search bar in the App and search for these files listed in the pic. Check the little boxes to disable them and you should be good to go. View attachment 244260

When I search "update" this is what I get. I'm using 6.3. Am I missing something? I should clarify that I'm using 6.3 of DP+, not regular DP. Not sure if that makes a difference.

You have disabled everything you need to disable and more. You do not need to disable KnoxAppsUpdateAgent and com.policydm.

Hmm, that's odd. I am using the paid version of Package Disabler Pro 6.3, so I think we're using the same thing. Maybe certain things listed may be related to your carriers version of the phone. Mine was a Verizon model Note 7, but I am just using it for a wifi only device currently and don't have a sim card installed in it. I don't have the UrgentFWUpdateTSP on mine. The Samsung system update is missing from your screen shot , and that is the one I would be the most concerned about disabling to prevent an unwanted OS update.
