Samsung Vibrant "Death Grip" video

Here's a video I recorded of the Samsung Vibrant with "death grip" issue. It's important to say that while there was a noticeable decrease of connection speed, I could NOT drop a call even if when it went from low signal of 2 bars to 0. The quality of the call wasn't even affected either. So I wouldn't say this is a serious problem as with the iPhone..

No big deal. All phones do this.

I just got back from the T-Mobile store and was able to replicate this. Pretty disappointed IMHO.
The reviewer in this video tested the death grip on 7 current handsets. Looks like the Iphones and Captivate had it the worse.

Amazing how Steve suckered so many people last Friday.

The issue is not that all phones will lose signal strength when the antenna is completely blocked, it;s that the iP4 will lose when gently touched on the bottom left corner. NO OTHER PHONE WILL.

The next update will be to replace the current bars with a static image of either no bars or a full bars image. That said the tmobile bars are horribly inaccurate. zero bars doesn't mean no signal.

Dude, all Jobs had to do was take out the part where he tries to show iP4 is no worse than other phones, and instead say -- "most people won't have issues. I stand behind our decision. If you're one of the .55% who does have an issue, have a free case."

And he would have been loved by all again. Even me. lol. Free bumper/case is the only real solution at this point.
