Samsung you're in serious trouble if you think people will pay $1000 for a phone

Well, I didn't pay a Grand. Traded in note 5, got Verizon to come close to matching best buy offer. I will be paying less then $14 a month, or $336 for it. I couldn't pass that up, I wasn't going to get it or wait for a sale, but at that price no need to.

Reading what is being said out there and its known that many will not pay over $1k for a phone period. When a phone becomes more expensive than laptops or desktops, there is a problem.

I won't pay $1k either and I always buy top of the line phones.

Not true at all. Millions paid over 1k for the iPhone 7plus a year ago.

They have a phone that will hit the $1000 range... but entry price to a 7 Plus was $769 and bet the majority of sales were 32/128. 128gb is a huge jump for $869 and 256gb is massive at $969. At that price Note 8 only comes in at 64gb. The Note 8 may be the best smartphone to date... but the $950 price tag honestly is steep.

iPhone 7 Plus 32gb -$769
iPhone 7 Plus 128gb - $869
iPhone 7 Plus 256gb - $969

Right, and the entry level iPhone only had 32gb of storage. The 128gb iPhone 7plus +taxes and accessories was easily 1000...A YEAR AGO.

Let's not even get into what it's going to cost THIS YEAR.

I didn't say it wasn't steep. I said people will pay it. Lots of people.

The note 8 and even the S8/S8 plus is vastly super technologically to the 7 plus so the prices are not comparable. The note 8 should be compared price wise with the upcoming iPhone 8 and the note 8 is a much better deal price wise for arguably a better feature set.

No way to know if it's a better deal without knowing the details of the iPhone 8 and it's pricing.

Oh, I haven't heard anything confirmed. Other than a general idea of what the front looks like, this thing still has tons of ? for me.

It's going to have wireless charging. A 5.8 inch oled, Facial recognition to unlock the phone, a function bar for onscreen navigation. Those are the main things. Obviously there will be a few smaller details that we find out about nearer to the time but everything leaks these days.

1173 USD the price turned out to be in Euro 983 ( using paypal with the slightly higher exchange rate )
So I guess people (me) will pay 1000 quid, not that we have a choice here in Ireland anyway, we never get the deals like Sd cards and camera etc.. can claim a free DEX after delivery of the phone though but that's it

So here's the thing...I work hard for my money, and we all have things we are 'into'. For me, it's Notes.
Someone may consider me a 'sucker' for being willing to pay the prices, but since I am not asking anyone else to pay it for me, and my bills are paid and neither the dogs or I are going hungry, why harsh my buzz?
As with so many things in life, if the shoe don't fit, that ain't your shoe lol

of course I have a choice to not buy or buy something else but if it's a Note 8 I want the options are not great here

Samsung I have one thing to say to you

Maybe I just go the wrong size shoe... like they forgot to check it at the store and it was in the wrong box.... is that my shoe? I mean I paid for it.... and all....

HAHAHA!!! :P
