I missed the sale, unfortunately, but when I called Samsung to verify the 64GB sdxc card was compatible with the S III, they told me the phone is specified as 32GB sdhc only. However, both AT&T and Verizon are advertising their S III expandable memory as 64GB (Sprint is advertising 32GB). I called AT&T (just want to be sure before spending $70-$80 for the card), and they called their Samsung tech support hotline only to confirm 32GB. They told me they are looking into it and to keep a lookout for updates on the Samsung or AT&T websites.

I preordered two of the AT&T phones primarily because of the 64GB capability, so can someone tell me what's going on before I spend the $$$ for the card?

I read a blog somewhere, maybe here, that someone actually tested a 64GB sdxc card with the S III, but I haven't been able to locate it again.

It seems ridiculous the phones are not tested before they publish the specs. The customer is suppose to find out what works?

So, I just received my Sandisk 64gb Class 6 card from BestBuy right now and to my surprise......

ITS A CLASS 10!!!!!!!! BOO YAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess its safe to say that ALL 64gb Sandisk micro SD cards are class 10!

Damn, I wish I could of gotten 2 myself now! I'm SOOO GLAD I jumped on it regardless!! To those who didn't.....I know the feeling, lol!

Pleasant surprise indeed!! I was pretty ecstatic when I opened up the envelope and saw it. I'm pretty sure its just Bestbuy not realizing that these 64gb cards are really class 10 and not class 6.....or they just don't have class 6 anymore and had to send us the class 10's, lol, who knows!

I've used a 64GB card in my note and it worked perfectly. I've seen a ton of other reports stating the 64Gb works in a handful of older android phones that are stated to only accept up to 32gb. I've also seen a number of tech sites over the past couple weeks state that the 64GB will work perfectly in the s3 so here is to hoping.

That is great news...I should be getting my card from BB in the next day or two. I was perfectly happy with a class 6, but if it is a class 10 then that is even better!

Darn it. They delivered it while I was home for lunch and I didn't even know. :( Now if Verizon will just ship the phone. :D Also Samsung's website lists the SIII as supporting up to 64GB for all of the carriers so Sprint is probably a typo. Samsung Galaxy Smartphones

welp mine is a class 6. looks like they goofed on the 10 or split the orders

Yeah, it looks like some people are getting class 6 and some are getting class 10. :confused:
 
If anyone that got multiple cards is willing to sell I'd be happy to buy. I got one from Amazon for 59.99 but it's not shipping til July 11th. I'll pay a decent price over what you got it for or maybe just ship the card to you from Amazon. I will be out of the country before mine comes in and would love to have the HUGE sd card to keep a months worth of vacation pics and videos. Thanks!

That looks like my package, but clearly says class 10 in the circle where yours says 6. I'm feeling like mine is a little slow for a 10.

Looks like the 10's are in different packaging or at least the one GrooveRite is as it says waterproof and temperature proof on it.
