Satisfaction of nexus

The GSM Nexus from the google play store has Jellybean on it, but the carrier versions of the nexus(sprint, verizon) still havent updated to jellybean.

Correct. I don't think toroplus (Sprint) is even listed under AOSP, so I presume they'll get it after Verizon does.

Guys, sorry for all the confusion, but this is the Google Galaxy Nexus forum. I guess there are also separate forums for the GSM, Sprint and Verizon Nexus phones. I assumed we were all talking about the GSM Google Play version of the Nexus.

There's actually no specification for this forum. Doesn't say which Galaxy Nexus and doesn't have any sub sections for the variants.

I came from Symbian and started using Android a year ago in July 2011
Bought Nexus S from ATT for 2 year Contract... Galaxy Nexus was not released at that time!

I love the Nexus Devices and I am never going to buy a non Nexus device ever..
When the new Nexus Comes out I will buy it and sell my Nexus S. I ll use it untill my contract ends and go prepaid after that...

I was tempted to buy nexus 7 but i will wait for Nexus 10... I have a touchpad with CM9.. will give it to my dad... I will be totally nexus by the end of this year.

I love android, and I saw it became mature and mature. Prior to GNex, I had iphone1, G1, G2, G2x, my wife has nexus s, and being lured by her nexus experience, I bought Gnex from google play two month ago, and you know.... once you go nexus, never miss ios.

I've had mine for 2 1/2 weeks for far and I really like this phone, especially with OS 4.1.1, the phone is fast and the internet with Chrome is fast..wow...no regrets other than not getting it when it first came out. I think I'm strickly Nexus from here forward...

I thought about waiting on the new iPhone, but I have seen the reviews on the Betas of the new IOS6 and Siri is not fixed...it appears Apple is now trying to catch up to android rather than leading the industry! I personally think the new iPhone is going to be a real let down as Apples vision has gone away. Google will soon take their place and rule! Correction already have.

Exactly the reason why I sold my iPhone and got the Galaxy Nexus.

google was brilliant for releasing this on play store for 350....its made me think i may never go back to contract phones im eligible for an upgrade in december and i dont see myself taking it if i do it will probably be because i plan to keep the service for 2 more years then just sell the cell phone as soon as i upgrade and keep the nexus...then sell the nexus and buy the next stock android phone

very pleased with this phone only complaint is when leaving wifi on and leavin area of my wifi at home phone will boot loop which is a HUGE issue and not so bad at the same time...just gotta remember to turn wifi off before i leave and there is no problem

I bought the nexus 7 last week and I am extremely surprised how much I ended up loving it.

I've had my eye on the iphone , as well as my wife. We own Mac book pros, iPods, and used to own an iPad 1; almost bought an apple TV if it wasn't for the raspberry pi. I just really like the integrated ecosystem they have built around their products.

But the nexus 7 made me realize that the nexus line is googles attempt at that same ecosystem. It's behind apples in a lot of respects particularly on the amount of content available, but I see the potential is there.

That said, I think my next phone will be a nexus, my wife would still want an iPhone so we are waiting until September when the next one is released.

Prior to that, what is your general satisfaction of the nexus? Any inherent problems with 4g? Any comments would be appreciated and if you came from on iPhone, what was your decision making? Any apps you wish you had ( I'd love a native pintrest app for instance) that are not available on the android system?

Thanks.

You already have a nexus 7, buy a phone with better signal and battery life.
