Save contacts to Google

I'm having an issue where if somebody sends me a contact VCard via SMS message, or Google Hangouts, or email, it is saving to my Samsung account address book. However, in my address book, I have selected to save all contacts to my Google account. And then there's no easy way to move them to the address book where I need them. Ideas? How is the Samsung account taking over?
