How do I backup all my apps and songs if I'm going to flash a rom?

If you've rooted you can backup your apps with titanium backup.
You don't need to worry about your songs because they are on the sdcard which isn't touched when you flash.

Now if you haven't even unlocked yet then that's a whole different thing since your entire sdcard gets wiped when you do that.
