Is there anyway to save the text on the webpages when browsing on internet on the droid?

I know you can save the images by long pressing the images on webpages but for rest of the items of the page, it seems not.

I would like to save, for instance, new york times articles and other articles from newspapers for later reading when I am not in a service area or perhaps send it those who dont have internet access or internet capable phones.

Thanks.

It's doable but I have a hard time with it... You have to hold the shift key on the keyboard while highlighting the text with your finger. It automatically saves the text that got highlighted to the clipboard. But like I said, I have a hard time using it.

The copy and paste functions need an overhaul, IMO. They are difficult to use and I hate them.

However, if you use Dolphin Browser, there is an option to literally, "Save for later." This will allow you to go back to the page at a later time and read it. I am not sure if it has all the functions you are looking for, but it worked well for me.
