Saving note..where?

Just trying to understand when I use Google Now and ask.. for example 'Remind me to show Brian my pictures' it replies 'saving note' . So where does it save the note and will I get some sort of reminder? Thanks

Just tried this for the first time ever and immediately got an email with the audio and the translated text

fyi: If you want a reminder to be an alarm, the reminder seemingly has to be within 6 hours or so (it may vary for you). Reminds further out or just general reminds get saved as audio notes which are mailed to you.

i.e. "Remind me to pee in 3 hours" sets an alarm.
"Remind me to poop in 7 hours" sadly just sends a note.

...although that page claims "you?ll have to make do with time-based reminders for the current day only" - but in my testing even reminders within the same day (but over 6 hours) didn't get saved as a reminder alarm.
