Saving Text as a Draft

I've had my Fascinate for about 2 weeks and am still deciding if I should keep it. Is there a way to save a text message as a draft instead of sending it out immediately? I was able to do that on my 5-year old LG flip phone but can't figure out how to do it on the Fascinate. Seems to me I should be able to do that.

I'm not sure if the fascinate texting app is different than my droids but for me if you write the text then just back out, don't press the home or send button, it always saved it as a draft. if that doesn't work for your stock texting app you should get something like handcent instead, it should work for that
