Saying "Hey Google" doesn't always activate the Assistant

I am having it happen again where while driving, "Hey Google" does not activate on my phone or on Android Auto, however it hears me clearly if I manually activate it and say the same word. It also begins responding to the woke word the moment I turn off my car, as I noticed today. The stranger thing is it was working just fine the other day under the same circumstances. Why does this happen? (Using a Samsung Galaxy A23 5G)

Can anyone help me out here? It works sporadically; some days it works for the first few "Hey Google"s but then will become deaf for all subsequent ones. Some days it won't even start at all.

An important thing to note is that it only does this in my car while I am driving and connected to Android Auto. It still will not work even after I turn my car off, however it starts to work again once I exit and move away from my car. What type of interference with my car could be causing this?

Uninstall the update to the Google app and see if it's ok with previous version

This was actually one of the first things I tried a long while back when I first started having the issue. I've tried practically everything else too like clearing cache, reinstalling, trying with certain internet connection.

To give a run down of the scenario from tonight where it happened again: It worked for a few commands, but after I did "Hey Google - Stop" to pause my music, all other calls did not activate it. I got into my driveway and turned off my car, it wasn't working on my phone, but then within the next minute it started to register commands again.

Do you use a VPN?

Probably when I switch from mobile data to the driveway then home Wi-Fi the transition didn't happen fast and delayed?

Well this has happened elsewhere on the road too not just my dirveway. This also would happen on the road when I'd only have mobile data on (would make the auto-switching irrelevant).
