SC 2.9.2 vs. Offical ED01 vs. Community ED01 vs. ED01 Debloated

ok im lost. i am running stock froyo ota ED01. i just tried installing cwm all using odin so that I could flash Community. I must be doing something wrong. cwm does not seem to be installed. whats my first step to installing this Community kernel?

tell me Shark, about Radio.. is it Modem? or sounds or what? cause so far i am ED01 as is.. EC01 screwed my sammy up a long time back and i threw it and EB16 out the door

make sure the CWM you are trying to flash by Odin is a Tar file...
if you have tried flashing the cwm .. then try the cwm fix all... they say its not campatable with the newer androiid language called edify but i flash the CWM tar.file if you use Odin... look make sure its a .tar file.. recovery all i think is the one you need .. collect all the files you need and then apply them..some flashed straight out of sc 292 to the community rom..and had no problems.. just make sure to enable lagfix in VooDoo folder and yer good to go

Do not let your phone fully boot up right after you install CWM all. Boot directly to CWM after you flashed it in ODIN by holding volume up, volume down, and power button until you see samsung has popped up twice.

The stock kernel overwrites CWM when you fully boot it up.

Radio and modem are the same thing.

After the flash hold the power button down and the volumn button down also untill the samsung logo flashes twice.. now things sometimes work differently on these androids.. so do not fear,, make the change.. we are here to help.. and Land Shark is better at explaining things than i am

beautiful! this looks very nice.
now if my battery calibration isn't working to my satisfaction, should I clear battery stats in cwm or should I use the terminal emulator process? I am still not clear on the best battery calibration fix. I know one thing, I really don't want to go thru that long process of restarting my phone over an over until I run it dead. Is there a productive way of fixing that without that long process?

I would say go with the debinged unbloated ED01 for right now. Give the community ROM a month to get all of the kinks out of it. I just loaded community ROM today, I like it since alot of mods are already done but there are some odd errors I've been getting.

I'm thinking I'm going to make the jump to Debloated ED01. I've been on Superclean for a few months now and kinda shocked it went under but hey. But I've had nothing but issues on S.C. 2.9.2. Force closes left and right recently. And IMHO, S.C. 2.9 was better. But let's see how Debloated ED01 is. I played w/ OTA 2.2 at Verizon today and it was almost as snappy as S.C.
