Android Central Question

With my S7I was able to scheduled text messages to be sent at a later time or the next day. Is that still possible on the S9?

Yes. Hit the plus button on the left side bottom of your screen when you're writing a text.

On my S9 after I typed the message I tap the plus button next to the message on the bottom left. It opens up A-line of icons and below that line are some more miscellaneous icons. On the 1st line that shows in Gray underneath a message on the right hand side there are 3 dots tap the dots and it gives you the option of scheduling the message. I figured this out just by playing around with my new phone all by myself. I hope this helps everyone that's looking for the answer.

I can't conceive of a reason to schedule a text message. How does everyone here use this feature?

My husband gets up in the morning WAY before I do. If I need to tell him/remind him of something I'll schedule a text. Or any time I think of something I want to text to someone but it might be too late, I'll schedule it go send the next morning...I'm likely to forget it if waited till morning :(

I use it to text my student employees at the beginning of the week to remind them of any games they need to work that week. That way if they don't show up they have no excuse for not knowing we had a game. Plus it reminds them to contact me if they know in advance that they can't work a game. I can pretty much schedule out a whole semester/season all nat one time instead of having to remember to do it every week.

One reason is if you're up late at night and you have an idea that you want to communicate (because you might forget the next day) but you don't want to risk waking the person up. A birthday or other greeting is another, if you're worried you'll forget the date.

Omg lots of reasons. Say for example to want a client ot think that you're awake at 8 am, but have no plans of waking up until 11, for example - so you could say "IN meetings until about 1045, call you then. Thank you sir" Nio?

If you still have no "schedule message" option then from Message+ go to Settings - Account - Activate Account.
It came back for me after activating (I dont know how it was deactivated.)
