Scratch or screen protector

I am using screen protector and suddenly today i saw a hole in my phone that i am unsure if its screen protection scratched or gorilla glass.

Can you tell through the image attached?

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. So is there a chip in the glass, and you're wondering if it's due to the screen protector?

Try taking the screen protector off & see if it's on the screen protector but you'll have to put a new one on though.

Try taking the screen protector off & see if it's on the screen protector but you'll have to put a new one on though.

Yeah, but glass can chip. Ever have that happen to your car windshield? That looks like a chip to me.

Yeah i had it happen it was annoyng! but how would a phone get a chip?

Why wouldn't it? We see lots of examples of screen damage here. Also, I was asking if the OP has a tempered glass screen protector, to see if that might be what's chipped.
