Scratches on the bevel.

Anyone notice any scratches or wear and tear on their metal bevel? I had this phone for 7 days and already the black is rubbing off. You can see Some silver on the very top right-hand corner. I put my phone in a pouch all the time so this really shouldn't be happening. Thoughts / advice?

I have it too. I've had watches with similar PVD coating and no matter how much you try to protect them, scratches are inevitable.

I haven't seen anything on it; although I believe just about everyone has a case on theres not just sticking it in a pouch.

im putting mines in a pouch for a week & i dont have any scratches, isnt the bezel made of glass? under the glass the black surrounding the screen is made of aluminum, but if that happened then it must be that there was either dust between the screen & glass or it wasnt air tight or put tight enough.

It may not be called the bezel then.

The part I'm talking about is the black aluminum that wraps around the phone. It's the black piece that is part of the physical camera button. That thing....

Well, here is why I'm against cases.

When I had the Evo 4G, I kept that thing in a seidio case. Turns out, dust would get in between the case and the phone, etc... The rubbing of the case against the phone with the dust there put some rub marks on it. It was annoying as heck. So ever since then, I left it without a case and never had a problem...

Now with the Evo 3D, I've been using a pouch. Just so it doesn't get dinged up or anything while in my pocket. But I noticed some silver showing through the black aluminum on the upper right edge. I talked to a sprint rep and they said since I'm within the 30 day period I could exchange it at a store without any problems. The current state of the silver showing through doesn't bother me one bit so I'm just going to keep it. I just don't want the problem to turn into something bigger. Ya know what I'm saying.

Anyways, Just thought I would share. Be aware of that black aluminum!

What case is everyone using? Anyone know of any good smart phone soft pouches online?
