I have screen attention enabled, but my display still times out while I'm looking at the screen. Anyone having a similar experience? Isn't it supposed to work regardless of what the screen is displaying?

I haven't noticed mine going to sleep while looking at it. Do you have Face Unlock enabled?

Yes should work regardless what is on the screen. Mine is working flawlessly.

After checking the Google Pixel forum, the problem seems to be prevalent with several users. Some think that it may be related to the last update. For myself, I know it worked at one time after I got the phone (~1 month ago), but now it doesn't. It's been annoying to say the least.

......and after starting in safe mode, the problem still exists.

Anyone in that Forum had luck with factory reset?
Or try resetting facial recognition and see if it's better?

I've had my 4xl for a few weeks now and I don't think this ever worked consistently. There are times I'm reading something and it shuts right off. Other times I'm looking away or even have fallen asleep in bed and wake up to the screen still being on a couple minutes later.

Hmm, interesting to see folks having issues with this. Must be hit and miss. Mine works perfectly. Sorry guys.

I notice it times out faster then it used to, meaning when I look away the screen would stay on now it goes off almost instantly.

@mustang7757, resetting facial recognition made this work for me again, too. Specifically, I had to also reboot after resetting facial recognition, but now it works a charm again.
