Screen blank when phone calls received

Prior to yesterday, when someone would call, I would get a screen with their caller ID info on it and a photo, if there is one attached to the contact record. To answer the call, swipe from left to right. Since yesterday, when someone calls my phone, it rings, but the screen remains black. The only way that I can answer the call is to press the home button, swipe down and then press the phone icon that shows up in the Task Manager (I think that's what it's called). No caller id info.

It's got to be a setting somewhere. Can anyone help?

SORRY GUYS! I restarted the phone and now it works ok. I should have done this prior to posting. Oh well. At least if someone else has this issue, perhaps you'll read this and find the solution is to reboot!

Thanks anyway!

May be a solution for some - after trying forced air, apps, etc., I actually noticed how I held the phone when calling. Sure enough, my index finger was close to (but not touching or blocking) the proximity sensor. Maybe a shadow fell from said finger? Anyway, now I hold the phone with the index finger on the side and the proximity sensor works fine.

dakron,
Out of curiosity, do you hold the phone in your right hand? I'm having trouble figuring out how your fingers get in the way if you hold it left-handed.

Strange, I could have sworn that there was a checkbox you could select if you answered calls with the phone in your right hand - I assume that it disabled the proximity sensor. Can't find it to save my life. Oh well...
