When I make a phone call, the screen blinks on and off. I can't even open the touchpad to enter an extension number or other automated caller options. have a rooted Verizon running AOKP with a Franco kernel (both latest stable builds). Running HaxSync.

I think this happened before I rooted but I'm not sure. Anybody else experience this before and, if so, how did you fix this?

Sounds like an odd problem for sure and I can see how it would get annoying really quick. I've never ran aokp personally but check your from options for a proximity sensor setting. I know there was a setting like that on the liquid line of roms

It's the stupid sensor thing Try making sure the screen is facing straight up. Helps sometimes, but yes very annoying.

If this happened before I rooted my phone it would back to Big Red before I did anything. I sounds like a faulty proximity sensor.

Make sure any part of your hand and or fingers or really any body part is away from proximity sensor. I have same issue.

Thanks. Where is the proximity sensor located?

Look at the speaker on the front/face of the phone. There's a tiny clear dot thing immediately to the right, but before the front-facing camera. That's the proximity sensor.

It can be...sensitive.
