screen calibration problem

My touch accuracy is suddenly poor, especially in the Phone keypad. Having rebooted the phone, now I see that the 4-5-6 line isn't responding on the keyboard. I suppose a hard rest is in order? Any other ideas to try first? Thanks!

A further note: while in a call, the keyboard is slightly lower on the sceren, and the upper row (1-2-3) is now mostly unresponsive. So it seems that an area of my screen is not responding properly, rather than specific keys.

Thanks for your guidance, cyanogen-man. After a phone reset didn't fix the problem, I took it to the Sprint store. They ordered me a new one using my insurance, to come in 2 or 3 days. In the meantime, my phone has resumed working. Now I am unsure what to do. If they are providing a new phone, I think I better take it. But if it's a refurb, I'm not sure I want to use my insurance on it. I once had more problems with a Treo refurb than with the phone I'd traded in!

Its up to you bro your money your call. (No pun intended) if you feel good about the phone keep it if not go with the replacement
