Screen capture (screen shot) doesn't work

Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account]. On that screen, you can uncheck whatever you don't want synced from Google. Depending on the device, the components to uncheck (if you don't want your Gallery synced) would be Picasa and/or Google Photos. In order to see the checkboxes, you do have to turn on background sync first.

Thanks, BD. I've already unsynced the Google. I don't get the last sentence, tho. How do I turn on "background sync" - and do I really want to turn on some kind of sync again?

You turn on general sync option just to see your list of possible things to sync.

You can toggle background sync (also known as automatic sync) by placing the Power Control widget on a homescreen tapping the sync icon to turn it on or off. If it's on, then all of the Google components that are checked in the Settings menu I mentioned above will automatically sync in the background. If it's off, then you have to manually sync those Google components (e.g., by swiping down in Gmail, or tapping the Refresh option in Calendar). It sounds like you'd prefer to keep background sync off--in that case, you just have to manually sync your Google apps when you want to.

However, by unchecking Picasa or Google Photos in the Settings menu mentioned above, your Gallery won't sync with the cloud, and those albums shouldn't show up again.
