Screen Cracked - Day 3

I've dropped my OG Droids countless times, onto ceramic tile. asphalt, concrete, with just scratches... Such luck.... I'd gotten a BRAND NEW one, and then got the X a few weeks later...It was retired to the dock with many commendations and rested peacefully on WiFi as a clock MP3 Player etc....

However... This summer.......

It was in the dock on my nightstand (which has a plate glass top), and get this, a squirrel got in the window and ran amok doing all sorts of carnage.

It knocked the OG Droid over on its face (still in the dock) and I know it wasn't even glass to glass contact... But, the OG Droid glass cracked right up the middle... One long crack... I didn't even noticed that day, saw it a few days later setting a new alarm.

Ironic.... Almost rand new and cracked... By a rampant squirrel... In my bedroom.. Sigh...

replacement Asurion phone received today. It is refurbished ( it) but did come with the beats headphones as well as a new battery and charger. All they want back is the phone so I can at least sell the battery and beats headphones to recoup some of the insurance deductible.

Case arrives tomorrow. This phone has much less light leakage around the edge of the glass. That's nice.

I have to speak out on htc's build quality. Ive owned a htc inspire (great device) for a year now. I have dropped this thing so many times. I have a dodge ram thats jacked up and i got out with phone in lap. Really hard fall. I have a simple basic smooth rubber slide on case. Nothing happened. A have a few small scratches from dropping screen first, thats it.
