I'm running CM-7.1.0-RC1 on an SD Card, and so far i'm becoming a convert from my tweaked slightly buggy HC, but there's one problem i'm having. Where in the build.prop do i change the LCD density?

I found one location and changed it to 140 where i had it for HC but when i rebooted it wouldn't load. I downloaded a screen density app and it doesn't appear to change the density at all.

Any help would be welcome thanks in advance.

Are you trying to increase or decrease the density? To make things bigger you must increase the density.

i want to make it smaller. when i was running HC it was slightly to large and i lowered it to 140 and it looked better, even the kindle app looked better. right now it's still a bit big for me.

I jut noticed today that the density has reverted back to 161. I changed it again back to 160, it rebooted i did some updates. rebooted my NC again for a couple of things, when it rebooted it was back to 161. anyway to keep it at 160?

You have to actually change the build prop. The app is only temporary until the next time you boot up.

is the line i need to change

qemu.sf.lcd_density=161

I changed that once before and ended up having to restore a backup.

Either that or ro.sf.lcd_density=161. I think it depends on the version of CM7 you are using.
