screen flicker when dialing or incoming call

Does anyone know if there's a way to stop the screen from flickering/ flashing when you are making a call or have an incoming call?

Can see if you have animations on , try turning off in developer option or in settings

Everything's off. Animation is set to none

No I meant I turned them off when I first got the phone. It does it on my husband's note 9 too. I think it was new with pie because I don't recall the flicker before pie.

Found a solution. Animation needs to be set to .5 and not 0. Thanks for trying to help!

Oh , thought you completely turned it off lol
Threw me off. Glad it's fixed

I had it set to 0. But after you commented it got me thinking and I did some searching and found that others who had it set to 0 also had that problem but it was fixed when they put it back to .5 so I did that and it works!
