Screen frozen with "SAMSUNG" on it

HI,

I just updated my Samsung Tab S and it has frozen with the "SAMSUNG" logo word on the screen in the centre.

If I hold down the power and volume buttons together for about 10 seconds it shows the screen with "Samsung Galaxy Tab S" written in the centre, and "powered by android" in smaller letters bottom centre. Then after about 5 seconds that fades .... and the "SAMSUNG" lettering returns to the centre of the screen.

Very striking! ... but not of much practical use

(Not sure if this is important, but could this be related to our ISP provider having city-wide broadband issues sometime soon after I set my tablet to do the software update?)

Same issue i applied an update since last 2 hour screen not going ahead. Samsung logo staying. What to do is it bug or it needs 6 to 7 hours for an update

I had done hard factory reset and wipe cache and luckily able to start tablet it shows 6.0.1 but i lost my data

Use volume down or up with power button it will switch off. Than follow steps of hard reset by pressing volume up plus home key with power

Screen frozen with "SAMSUNG" on it - Marshmallow update

I am having Samsung Tab S 10.5, I was very happy to see the update of marshmallow and hurriedly downloaded and installed. During installation the screen frozen with "Samsung" logo only blinking. Hard reset also not worked. I took it to service centre and they installed old software (lolypop) and all the data wiped off. The service engineer advised not to update till the stabilised update comes.

Ohhhhh...i had updated marshmallow. It shows now 6.0.1 but it worked by hard reset and wiped cash

Same here I have updated android nougat n it's frozen on booting, pls help.... I have tried all these tricks...

It should be marshmallow.6.0.1 not 7.0. Plz try first switch off by pressing power and volume up key. After that follow steps for hard reset and wipe off cash memory it should work.

Yep that worked. But, I guess it only works in the sequence, of factory reset first then wipe cache. It's a bit tricky to reboot by power + volume down button, and quickly switching to power+volume up + home button, but it works! Wiped all data but it works. I suggest it's best to remove any micro sd card from the device first. O

UPDATED: apparently you MUST do the cache wipe after the wipe/reset or it doesn't work. i tried one more time and did cache after reset and it looks like it is working. i could swear i did that before:-\

tried the wipe/reset w/o any success. still stuck at samsung logo. when i get into recovery menu oneof the lines starts w/ 6.0.1 so i assume that the marshmallow update is still there. any thoughts on resolving this?

Unable to make any progress. Still it hangs with SAMSUNG logo. Or sometimes it gives option to use CUSTOM OS by pressing VOL UP or CANCEL BY VOL DOWN.

It then hangs with a message stating it is downloading .... I left it over night. Nothing happened.

Just updated the tablet yesterday and i am too facing the same issue.
Any other solution than factory reset?
Lot of data on the tablet, that is not backed up

I am facing the same issue with the screen just frozen with the Sprint logo showing. Won't power off.
