screen going beserk

Has anyone been having a problem with their screen just randomly touching areas on the screen and goin berserk, its driving me crazy as it's irritating, it getting worse and I have restarted this phone 100 Times and it's still doing it

The only times I've seen that happen is when outside in winter (thinking the dry, static charged air affected it and cycling the screen off and on fixes it), or when plugged in with a USB cable that went bad. If this is happening in other situations, it could just be a defect. The screens rely on the electrical impulses in your fingers to react, so electrical anomalies like from a bad assembly could be the cause.
