I used Miracast to throw my screen image and a few pictures up onto my flat screen at the house ... but I connected to the flat screen (Phillips brand) through my ChromeCast.

The connection was slow - but once up, it worked quite well.

Thanks. So you didn't have to purchase the dongle because you have chromecast?

I also turn on Miracast from the quick settings and cast to my Chromecast. Works like a charm.

I have a 4k LG smart TV on my livingroom miracast is actually fast a little choppy when I watch action movies, on my room I have a samsung smart tv miracast is kinda slow & sometimes do not work?

I use Mobizen app to mirror the phone to my PC. I work for a software company and this is useful for demonstrating the phone and tablet during a pc meeting.
