Does anyone know of a "Screen Off" widget? I don't want a screen off and "Lock", just a screen off. Everything I have found, turns screen off and immediately locks it.

Thanks for any help.

Your phone automatically locks itself when the screen turns off no matter how you do it but some phones have the ability to change the time between screen-off and auto-lock.

No, my phone does not auto lock when screen turns off. I have it set to lock after 15 minutes of being asleep. I can turn screen off with power button and it does not lock, unless it sits for 15 minutes per my setting. I want a widget that acts as the power button per say.

Did you reply before reading my entire post?

But it depends on the command being given to your system when you use the widget. There are several it can use from screen-off with lock or without lock to sleep. I have not had to use any of these so I can't tell you which use which command your going to have to read descriptions of apps or ask the devs which they used. Or you might get lucky and someone that has finds your post.

Evidently the widgets you've been trying are screen lock widgets, not screen off widgets. I haven't seen any screen off widgets, but Tasker would make that a one line task. And with the Tasker App Factory you can turn that task into an icon on the homescreen (or anywhere else). Macrodroid may also be able to do something similar (although I haven't tried it because I use Tasker) and it's free. (Tasker is about $3.)
