Just got my Galaxy nexus today when I got it I and my friend noticed colors on my screen just seem off and very neonish.

The screen also seems to have poor viewing angles my droid X had no issues being viewed from the side but my nexus does.

Tried flashing stock also tried a few custom roms.

There a way I can change settings or do I have a faulty device?

I see no problems with viewing my Nexus from the side and colors look great to me. No idea what you are experiencing with your device'

How does it look compared to the demo in the store? AMOLED screens have vibrant colors. My DX looks all washed out compared to the Galaxy Nexus.

Re: Sceen overvibrant

It is much more then vibrant colors it looks like some one took the saturation setting and cranked it all the way up and the viewing angles are worse then TN panels.

That's just what AMOLED screens are like. Not for everyone. I personally like the saturation.

Well I prefer having accurate representation of colors.
on all White backgrounds also looks dirty like there is a layer of grease under the screen.

If this is what the screens look like the razr is my next phone.

Do you have a screen protector on?
The screen by itself doesn't look dirty with a white background...

Then you would be best off with the LCD screen of the Rezound. The Razr has a Super AMOLED screen so it will have the more vibrant colors just like the GNex.

That is called pixelation and it is due to the pentile screen. The Razr has a Super AMOLED pentile screen, too and a lower resolution pentile screen than the GNex so the pixelation will be even more noticeable on the Razr.

If natural colors and no pixelation is what you want, go with the Rezound, not the Razr.

We don't have your phone. We don't even have a picture of it.
How are we supposed to know exactly what it looks like? Go compare it to the display model and other Nexii at the Verizon store if you think it's defective.

Are you all blind or just stupid no phone screen should ever look like this it is terrible. Called the Verizon store they agree something sounds off so thanks for nothing.

how do u expect to get good advice if u treat forum members like this? Like the post above me states, how do u want us to help u if we don't even know exactly what ur screen looks like?

Maybe if you had posted pictures of your screen instead of whining we could have helped. We don't see what you see, and don't understand what you're talking about, so drop the attitude.

Re: Sceen overvibrant

1) Turn up the brightness to about 40% and see how it looks then. Auto Brightness is way too low.

2) If that doesn't solve your problem you have a defective unity and I would exchange it. My whites are brilliant and the screen looks terrific.

Does it look like this:

Galaxy Nexus: my quick take | The Verge Forums

screen-noise.jpg

Trying to separate some things to see if its this or the normal Amoled things.

And I feel if the OP DX1 screen has better angles, somethings wrong with his G Nex. One reason I'm an Amoled fan now is the better viewing angles from most LCD's. The colors are another reason I'm a fan now. I dont get the cartoonish looking comments some ppl make. And I always thought oversaturated meant color bleed, I was wrong...lol. If the G Nex, RAZR, Galaxy S1 and 2 and other Amoled screens are oversaturated....it isnt as bad as some ppl make it. If anything some LCD screens need a lil more color or at the least better viewing angles.

The nexus screen is awesome but the brightness must be turned up.

The screen on the razr doesn't compare.

No need to be so rude.
