Screen pops on when fully charged on wireless pad

I never really noticed this before with the S5 because out of habit I would charge it upside down. But now when the Edge is fully charged the screen pops on. Its usually in the middle of the night after I've fallen asleep.

Like I said, I've never noticed it before because the S5 was upside down. But its hard to get away from on the wireless pad.

It happens when plugging in to charge as well. I don't think it can be disabled.

I've noticed that on my car wireless charger too. Has caught me out a few times when it's just lit up in the windscreen. Could never find a setting to turn it off.

You're missing the "phone is fully charged - remove from charger" popup that turns the screen on. With root and Xposed, you can kill that, otherwise just turn the screen off. (Leaving a fully charged phone on a charger just makes sure it's REALLY fully charged [the 100% popup occurs at between 92% and 98%m depending on the phone and the battery].)

You could put a dark sheet of paper on the phone when you charge at night.

I have my phone set on Do Not Disturb during the night (10 PM - 6 AM), and I don't think this happens while DND is active - I've never noticed it anyway.

Yes, if it's plugged in, or if you set the charging puck upside down on the back of the phone.
