Screen protector for s10+?

If only they figured out how to curve it.

The most convenient screen protector I ever found for a curved glass Samsung phone was at...wait for it...Walmart. Yes, Walmart. Back when I got the S7 Edge, I found a simple plastic screen protector at a Walmart store, under a line of products called "WriteRight." It was a static cling protector and only offered protection against scratches, but the important thing is that it was curved at the edges. I didn't need to use a soapy spray, squeegee, etc., nor did I need to press down on the right and left sides to get it to stick properly. I just put it on my phone and it stayed in place, because it was form-fitted to my phone.

Had I dropped my phone face down on a rock, the screen would have likely shattered. But it protected against grains of sand in my pocket and other such hazards, and when I turned it in for the S8+ a year later, the screen was in flawless condition. Not so much as a hairline scratch. Sadly I've never found these screen protectors for more recent phones. Which is too bad because it was only $10, and I would totally buy one for every new phone if I could. If only TPU protectors could be curved out-of-the-box...

What is Zagg TGSP? I was hoping if one wasn't pre-installed I could use Zagg. I mentioned before but I like this girl at the kiosk in the mall who puts them on she does a good job. I think on my ever since my 7 edge I've Zagg invisishield I think it's called.

Tempered Glass Screen Protector. 😉

Oh Duh! sorry thanks I knew that I'm tired LOL! I don't know whether to try whitestone or not but if really comes with one pre-installed I'll see how that holds up.

LOL. Yeah, that's what I plan on doing, too. $50 for a screen protector is too steep, imho. I'd rather spend that on a case that has enough of an all around lip. Since the phone is so light, I don't mind having a tank of a case on it.

Well Zagg is usually 30 bucks but I thought Whitestone was 60 for 2? Someone said you get 2 in case you mess one up but in my case I would need one for me and my huband. Note 8 was the 1st phone that my husband went without a screen protector. I always have had one. And on this expensive of a phone I want a good one just like my case I'll spend 30-40 on a good case.

Whitestone offers two options. A combo pack or a single. Those of you thinking $50 is too expensive, you better rethink how much it will cost you if you ever have to have the screen replaced. You want to spend $50 or your $200 deductible? And if you think installing the Whitestone is too difficult to install, you really should watch the install videos again.

I can definitely understand the concerns of the Whitestone crowd. But personally I've always used screen protectors more to protect my phone from microscratches, and less from blunt force impacts. I don't take my phone with me when I go jogging, hiking, etc. (that's why I have a Galaxy Watch LTE), so my phone screen has never been subject to that kind of impact. On the other hand, I tried going protector-free with my Note 7, and it developed scratches just from being in my pocket.

Given the pre-installed Samsung screen protectors and replacements for $30, I'm far less worried about the screen. I'll focus on getting well-armored cases to protect against drops.

I've ordered S10+ ......Only the whitestone dome is providing glass screen protector at a high cost that I can't afford.

Hold up. You ordered a $1000+ phone and you can't afford a $45 screen protector?? You've got your priorities wrong if this is the case. Sounds like you need to get your finances in order, then buy a new phone.

If you think about it, the fact that we ordered $1,000+ phones is precisely why the $45 is not affordable. :-$

Like I said, I do get the concerns of the Whitestone fans, and at some point I may get a Whitestone Dome myself. Personally I can easily afford a $45 screen protector. The question is: is it justified by the perceived risk to my screen? Having been a smartphone user for almost a decade now I've dropped my phone a couple times. I've never had any blunt force to my screen though. That would require a special kind of drop onto a surface with protruding objects (e.g. rocky terrain outdoors). If you work outdoors I can see Whitestone Dome being a good investment. But I'm at home or in an office all day, the only time I go outside is for a jog and I've got a Galaxy Watch for that. If that's your lifestyle, I guess I'm just not seeing the case for Whitestone Dome.

But hey, if you like it that's awesome and I'd love to hear how it works with your S10+ once we all get our phones!

Everyone here are not wealthy as you're. I know the value of the money and I know very well about, even if I keep s10 more secure in some situations it will get some scratches and the device has to survive from usual drops as well.
Not everyone has a capability to afford 49$ for screen protector. Some people will search even in cheap. so, I just found Gadgetshieldz providing screen protector for 10$. That's my suggestion if anyone searching for a screen protector at a low cost. This doesn't mean i don't have a financial knowledge. Think twice what you're posting here without anyone letting down.

I agree, some people here may not be as fortunate as me, but I'm not wealthy. The point is, in the grand scheme of spending money, if someone is willing to pay for a flagship phone, no one is going to be sympathetic to complaints over $45 for a screen protector. If someone can't afford $45 for a protector, how can they afford the phone?

I don't want one for the impact protection necessarily, but more for scratch protection. I've repaired tons of cellphones, so I take extra care against not dropping my phone.

.....so I take extra care against not dropping my phone.

You know, I've told myself this in the past and it always came back to bite me in the behind. All I'll say to you is.....good luck!! I just expect drops to happen now and prepare accordingly.

Good advice. I'm also extremely careful with my phone, so much so that I can remember every time I've dropped a phone. Still, that one drop will leave permanent damage (cosmetic or worse) if you don't at least have some kind of a case on it. And even a minimalist case can go a long way. I once dropped my Note 9 in the office on a hardwood floor with an Anccer bare case. The case cracked but my phone was not even scratched.

We can argue all day about Whitestone Dome vs TPU, Otterbox vs. Spigen Thin Fit, but everyone should really putsomething on their phones.

I ordered the Whitestone Dome today for my S10+. I have one on my S9+ and it's been the best I've ever used. Like it's not even there.

RhinoShield is releasing their impact protection screen protectors, supposedly this week. I'm glad, because I've used them on my Nexus 6P and they've definitely saved the screen in tandem with the case when I've dropped it (including face first on concrete).
