Wondering what others plan to do, and why? Also interested to hear from anyone who has experience with naked Gorilla Glass Victus on another device?

I never use a screen protector -- only a good case. I'm careful about not putting the phone in a pocket or bag with any other object that might scratch or crack the glass.

I've been using Poetic cases with the built-in screen protectors. I haven't had any problems, and my phone looks like the day I bought it. When my Pixel comes in, I'll have the case waiting for it.

I have always used a glass protector but all I'm finding is $50 ones or some that don't go over the curved edge. Defender case so probably won't get one this time.

Does the built in screen protector fit snug against the display or is there a small gap when pressing?

I never notice it. The newer cases have a special section for the fingerprint unlock that sticks to be screen to help with inaccurate scans. They also include a frame without the protector for use with other screen protectors or none.
